The skill here is really patience and computer editing skills. I will set up a good lighting system and figure out the best angle the item will photograph. Then it's simply a matter of shooting a bunch of pictures at a slightly different focus points. The software merges all those images into one super clear and sharp picture you could never duplicate in a single shot.
